Randy Joe Lack
March 8, 1953 ~ April 22, 2024

Randy Joe Lack, age 71 of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Monday, April 22, 2024 at his home.

He was born March 8, 1953 in Norman, Oklahoma to Billy Joe and Etta Jane (Rollins) Lack

Randy grew up in Norman a few miles from the OU stadium and graduated from Norman High School. He received a teaching degree from East Central University. After marriage he settled in Tecumseh to raise his family.

He has worked as a produce manager at Safeway in Norman, and as a child welfare worker for DHS for Pottawatomie County. He was currently working as a social service caretaker for the Shawnee Senior Citizens Center.

Randy was a deacon and youth pastor at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Tecumseh for many years. He was an avid OU fan who took every opportunity to yell "SOONER", following someone else's "BOOMER". And "Texas still sucks!" He was a spectator at many of his kids and grandkids sporting events, awards ceremonies, and other performances. He loved family game night and traveling with his family. His kids and grandkids were his pride and joy.

He is preceded in death by; his parents, Bill and Etta Jane Lack; and his son Benjamin Lack.

Survivors include; his former wife, Murna Lack; his children and their spouses, Erin and James Meyers, Jody Blackwell, Jeremy and Lyndsey Lack, Danielle Lack, and Jennifer King; his grandkids, Jaxon, Tara, Jalee, Journey, Addy, Cooper, Ella, Kalani, Malachi, Karmin, Kashtin, Nash, and Bentley; his sisters, Cheryl Lack, Teresa Hall, and Lynn Lack; his closest cousin, Mike Turman; and numerous other extended family and friends.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Dawkins officiating. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
