Freda Mae (Collins) Bales
June 27, 1939 ~ April 14, 2024

Freda Mae Collins-Bales was born June 27, 1939 in Ward, Arkansas to A.B. & Mary Collins. She passed away the morning of April 14, 2024 at her home surrounded by family, at the age of 84.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, A.B. & Mary (Tucker) Collins; husband Marion Calven Bales Sr; son Calven Bales Jr; sisters Fern Williams, Dee Soderstrom, Pat Brewer; brothers Ronnie Collins and John Collins.

Survivors include her brother Tom Collins of Arkansas; children Gene & Cristy Bales of Davenport, Dennis & Sherry Bales of Davenport, Tamela & Keith Wunderlich of Cambridge KS; 10 grandchildren, Kyle Bales and wife Chelsea, Michael Wunderlich, Guner Wunderlich and wife Amber, Marissa Bowman, Leslie Bales, Cody Bales, Chance Cross, Ashlyn Carter and husband Bryan, Wyatt Cross, Collin Bales; 4 great- grandchildren, Drew Barron, Nicholas Wunderlich, Vivian Wunderlich, Vidalia Wunderlich; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved as her own.

Gene, Dennis, & Tamela would like to make a special thank you to Michael Wunderlich, and Leslie Bales for moving in and being her caretakers.

A celebration of Freda’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 19, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Davenport. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
