Donald “Don” Richard Porter, 80, retired Installer for Rush Overhead Door, went to be with the Lord Thursday morning in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Don was born in Shattuck, Oklahoma on March 17, 1938 to parents Earl Moses and Zula May (McCullough) Porter.

He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War.

Don married the love of his life Neoma Lee Coy on March 17, 1980 in Dewey, Oklahoma. His beloved Neoma preceded him in death on January 29, 2018.
Don enjoyed fishing and loved being with family and friends.

Don is survived by his two sons Randy Porter and wife Jane of Canyon City, Colorado and Ronnie Porter and wife Libby of Canadian, Texas; step-son Steve Milligan of Pawhuska; stepdaughters Lynn Milligan McAlvain of Bartlesville and Janet Witzel and husband Layne of Collinsville; brothers John Porter and wife Bertha of San Diego, California and William “Bill” Porter of New Jersey; sisters Marjorie of South Carolina and Addie of Mooreland, Oklahoma; six grandsons Chad Milligan, Dustin Milligan, Chase McAlvain, Coy McAlvain, Cameron Witzel and Tyler Milligan and eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren and relatives.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, brother Earl Marvin Porter, son Richard Porter and great grandson Cade Steven McAlvain.

Open visitation will be Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The family will receive guests from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday at Stumpff Funeral Home.

Graveside rites will be held 1:00 pm Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Wann Cemetery with Reverend Orville Moody officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Disabled American Veterans at 300 E. Angus, Dewey, Oklahoma 74029.
