Peggy Ruth Fouts, 83, of Bartlesville, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Medicalodge in Dewey.

Peggy was born January 22, 1935 in Ripley, Oklahoma to parents Max and Susie (May) Crouse. Peggy moved and was raised and educated in Dewey, Oklahoma. She graduated from Dewey High School in 1953. She then attended secretary school and worked for HC Price Company.
Peggy married Lewis Fouts in Dewey, Oklahoma on February 6, 1954. The couple had three children. Peggy took a break from working to raise her children and then returned to work once the children had gone to school.
Peggy was a member of the Memorial Christian Church in Dewey. She was a very faithful and active member until she got ill 13 years ago and wasn’t able to attend.
Peggy loved shopping with her daughter Susan and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lewis, sister Betty Bengston and brothers Max Lee Crouse and Pete Crouse.

She is survived by one son Stan Fouts and wife Patricia; two daughters Sharon Swanson and husband Doug and Susan Holbert and husband Eric; six grandchildren Dustin Milligan, Chad Milligan, Kyle Fouts, Andrew Fouts, Lacey Calhoun and Lindsey Norman; 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery.
