DAVIS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Juanita M. Patteson, 86, of Copan, died Wednesday in Dewey.

Juanita was born the daughter of Jess and Addie Bell (Hendricks) Williams on March 13, 1931, in Tulsa. When she was five, the family moved to Alluwe where she attended school and graduated Alluwe High School, Class of 1948. She met and married the love of her life Bobie Patterson in Nowata on Nov. 5, 1948. They made their home in several area communities in Oklahoma and Kansas before settling in California where they raised five children and spent 39 years. Over the years Juanita worked in nursing and home day care. Once retired they returned to their home state of Oklahoma in 1997 and made their home in Copan.

Juanita was soft spoken and could be taken at her word. She was a loving wife who loved her children, doted on her grandchildren and took good care of her husband and home. Juanita had a green thumb and spent countless hours working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed baking, particularly pies. In retirement Bobie and Juanita loved to go for drives, visiting old favorite places and reminiscing about the days gone by. Juanita was a “home-maker” in every sense of the word, and her family will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her loving husband of the home; four children, Sharon Economen of Beaumont, CA, Mary Clyde of Ontario, OR, Jerry Patteson of California, and Jesse Dale Patteson of Copan, OK; six grandchildren: Jennifer Economen, Deanna Martz, Teresa Lewis, Rebecca Hernandez, Michael Clyde, Jerry Patteson Jr.; 13 grandchildren: Aspen Economen, Breanna Jones, Daniel Flores, Katelyn Menchaca, Troy Smith, Samantha Smith, Juanita Snow, Jackson Lewis, Anthony Oddo, Jessica Oddo, Emily Oddo, Nicholas Oddo, Michael Clyde; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Bobby Patteson and three sisters Margaret, Alma and Jessie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, from 10-8. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the Davis Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplin Roger Sheppard officiating.

Interment will follow in the Martin Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.

Online condolences and remembrances may be shared with Juanita’s family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
