Albert "Bud" Petermann, 90, long-time Perry businessman, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perry and a celebration of his life is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Perry. Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Sumner Cemetery. Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the funeral home.

Bud was the son of Ernest Alfred and Kathryn Emma (Ritthaler) Petermann and was born July 13, 1926 in Noble County. He lived with his family in the Morrison, Oklahoma community and attended Shiloh school. Bud served his country in the United States Army where he achieved the rank of Corporal.

On June 5, 1954, he and Betty Jean Cromwell were married at Stillwater. The couple made their home in the Perry community where Bud owned and operated Petermann Electric Company. He was a 61-year charter member of the Morrison American Legion post.

Bud was involved in wheat farming and enjoyed playing pitch, bowling and traveling the world.

In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by one son, Ronald Gene Petermann, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Cheryl Langstraat and her husband, Steve, Stillwater, Oklahoma; two brothers, William "Bill" Petermann, Stillwater, Oklahoma; and Harry Petermann, Cushing, Oklahoma; one sister, Doris Bronner, Perry, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Chad Jensen and Kyla Langstraat.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Alfred Lee Petermann and Walter Petermann

Memorials may be made to the Sumner Cemetery Fund in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, P.O. Box 189, Perry, OK 73077.
