Barbara Ann Wilson Thompson, lifelong resident of Marland, Oklahoma passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Billings, OK, with internment immediately following at Red Rock cemetery in Red Rock, OK.

Barbara was born on November 29, 1939 in Ponca City to Woodrow "Woody" and Carolyn "Carrie" (Hauser) Wilson. She worked for Conoco in Ponca City for several years until she received her real estate license. Barbara worked in real estate in both Texas and Oklahoma.

She was the proud mother to son Danny Ray Thompson and daughter Darla Dean Thompson.

Barbara enjoyed living on the farm, watching eagles fly over the Arkansas river, and spending time with family. She spent the last 22 years enjoying life with her companion H.B. Evans. Together they traveled, attended ball games and festivals, went to church together and were avid supporters of the Special Olympics.

Barbara had a very strong faith in God and was actively involved in First Baptist Church. She was always available for advice, wisdom, a good joke or to pray with you.

She is survived by her daughter, Darla Thompson of Ponca City; Grandsons Dusty Thompson and fiance Keith Heinzmann of Dallas, TX; Hunter Proctor and great-granddaughter Braylen of Mulvane, KS, and Bladen Thompson of Ponca City. Brothers Kenneth Wilson and E.J.Wilson and wife Lynda all of Ponca City, and Dennis Wilson and wife Cheryl of Marland. Niece Tana McKinley and son John Aaron of Ponca City; Nephew Chad Wilson, wife Cassie and sons Evan and Konner of Katy, TX; Niece Lindsey Westfall and son Trevor of Yukon, OK, and Niece Deidra Karr and son Dylan Wilson and daughter Kayleigh Wilson of Marland; and companion H.B. Evans of Billings, OK.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her son, 2 nephews and 1 sister in law.
