Wanda Janet Hodges, 81, of Ponca City, OK, went to be with the Lord on October 3rd, 2022, peacefully in her home.

Viewing will be from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday, October 7th, 2022, at Trout Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 8th, 2022, at the First Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Adam Phillips officiating.

Burial will immediately follow at Red Rock Cemetery, Red Rock, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout t Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Wanda was a resident of Ponca City, OK, born to Christine and Fred Wright on February 19, 1941. She married her first husband and father of her children, James Ince, in 1958. She married her second husband, Robert "Bob" Hodges in 1989. She was a long-time employee of the Outpatient Surgical Center and was a devoted member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.

 

Wanda's greatest loves were her Lord and Savior, her children, grandchildren and her family. She was a feisty, independent woman, who was an avid garage sale hopper and loved to haggle. She had a love for baking, cooking and fashion. She enjoyed staying up late shopping on QVC or reading her westerns.Wanda was a kind, passionate, go-getter type of lady, who was incredibly caring and had the heart of an angel. She was immensely loved by those who knew her and will be deeply missed by all. Her memory will forever live on.

 

Wanda was preceded in death by: her first husband, James Ince; second husband, Robert "Bob" Hodges; baby daughter, Janet Ince; mother and father, Christine and Fred Wright; sister, Shirley Wright; brothers, Robert Wright and Leon Wright and best friend Sara Hernandez.

 

Survivors include her sons: Tim, wife Jody and David Sr.; grandchildren, David Jr, wife Lacey, Christopher and Zeeva; great-grandchildren, DJ and Ashton, sisters, Kathy Stevens and Nadine Carrillo; brothers, Ronnie, wife Becky, and Ricky; nieces/nephews, great-nieces/great-nephews and many friends and family.

 

Pallbearers include: Tim Ince, David Ince, Sr, David Ince, Jr., Christopher Ince, D.J. Ince, Dylan Dollarhide, Braiden Harper and Sebastian Ramirez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Harper, Thomas Medina, Jimmy Roman, Tom Welch, Ronnie Wright and Ricky Wright.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church, 1900 E Hubbard Rd, Ponca City, OK 74604.
