Jon Cornell Young, Broken Arrow resident, went home to live with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at his home. He was 45 years old.

Jon Cornell was born on January 10, 1965 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Joseph Thomas Young and Wanda Juanita Stilwell Young. John attended Sequoyah High School and graduated in 1983.

Jon worked in construction as a framer for many years. He met Tonya in Sequoyah and married Tonya Johnson on May 31, 1992 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jon loved spending time with his family and friends and was always ready to make them laugh. Jon was there to help people in their time of need. He loved to fish, draw, sing, build things and play his guitar. He also enjoyed bead work. He loved being Papa. Well forever love and miss you, till we meet again.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya children, AnnMarie Young and husband, Randy Haner of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jessica Young and Michael Rabbit of Tulsa, and Chance Young of the home brothers, Justin Young and Joseph Young of Morrison, Oklahoma sister, Joanna Young of Red Rock, Oklahoma grandchildren, Ethan Haner and Nathan Haner of Tulsa numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents an infant son, Seth Young and sisters, Juanita Young and Shane Riddle.

Casket bearers for the service will be J.R. Warrior, Thompson Warrior, Bear OField, Michael McIntosh, Willie Kern, and Curtis Burgess.
Honorary bearers will be Joanna Young, Justin Young, Joseph Young and Ella Ross.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Otoe Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Kinner officiating.

Burial will follow at OtoeMissouria Cemetery in Red Rock, Oklahoma under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
