George Joseph "Joey" Whitehorn

George was born November 4, 1964, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Calvin Douglas No Ear and Claudia Brown No Ear. He was taken to be with the Lord on December 13, 2011, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was 47 years of age.

Joey grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was a graduate of Edison High School before attending Northeastern State in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was baptized as a child at the New Life Indian Baptist Church and also attended church in Tulsa. He worked as a Roofer.

Joey spent a lot of time with his children and supported them in their lives and activities. He enjoyed cooking outdoors, and was an accomplished Fancy Dancer participating in Pow Wows throughout his life. He enjoyed all types of music and had an enjoyable wit about him.
He enjoyed watching OU Sooner football and was a diehard fan. He also enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys.

Joey has been preceded in death by his father, his adoptive parents Isabelle and Tommy Whitehorn and siblings Doreen No Ear, Douglas Lee No Ear, Sonny Whitehorn and Porky Whitehorn.

He is survived by his children Danielle, Douglas, and Dayne Whitehorn of the home his wife Cynthia of the home his mother, Claudia Spicer, brothers and sisters Amy NoEar of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Salina No Ear Todome of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Browning No Ear of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sean Spicer of Miami, Oklahoma, Irvin Whitehorn of Hominy, Oklahoma, Sango Whitehorn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Georgia Sue Cunningham of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Wynona Whitehorn of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Fern Buck of Sperry, Oklahoma and Paul Robideaux of Sperry, Oklahoma as well as many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 at the OtoeMissouria Tribal Cultural Center with Gary Chink Whitecloud officiating.

Burial will follow in the OtoeMissouria Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
