For many months, the family anxiously prepared for Hania’s arrival. They had hopes, dreams and wishes for their baby boy who was loved before anyone had even seen him. Hania Slade Slavin, infant son born to Casey Don Slavin and Tiffany Shae (Lindenman) Slavin went to be in the Lord’s loving care on September 3, 2008.

He is survived by his parents, Tiffany of Ft. Hood, Texas and Casey currently deployed overseas serving in the United States Army; brothers, Hayden and Harlee Slavin and sister, Hanci all of Ft. Hood, Texas; grandparents, Dawn and Michael Briner of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Sherie and Jerry Silver of Wichita, Kansas and Keith Slavin of Ponca City, Oklahoma; great grandparents, Madge and John Artman of Newkirk, Oklahoma, Ken and Ila Slavin of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Melody Lindenman of Wichita, Kansas; aunts, Francis Buster of Ft. Hood, Texas, Reeva Lindenman of Wichita, Kansas and Destani Silver of Wichita, Kansas; uncles, Ben Briner of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Jake Silver of Wichita, Kansas as well as many other family members.

Casket bearers for the service will be Jake Silver and Damion Payne.

Honorary bearers will be Hania’s brothers, Hayden and Harlee Slavin.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Kinnear of Otoe Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

The family would like to thank the American Legion post #7 and American Legion Children’s Home staff for all of the assistance they have given as well as Melina R. Conner, MRC Photography and the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Organization for all of the time and dedication spent on creating a touching and beautiful picture collection. The family would also like to thank all friends and family for their phone calls and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Hania’s honor to the American Legion Post #7 at 407 W South Avenue, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74604.
