Strode Funeral Home

Dawn Hawkins, 57, passed to her glory the morning of Sunday, November 30 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Yankunas officiating. Interment will follow at Morrison Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
Dawn was born January 29, 1957 to LeRoy and Frankie Pittman.
 
Dawn married Roger Hawkins. They were married for more than twenty years until his untimely death. Dawn worked at Oklahoma State University for over thirty years. She was a big fan of OSU football. Besides OSU football Dawn was a lady Elk for more than twenty years, always working on a charity event. She loved giving for charity anyway she could. Dawn and Roger took in blind dogs to care for them and to love them.
 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Hawkins and brother, Richard Pittman.
 
She is survived by Crystal Lockwood, Michael Pittman, Howard Pittman and Patrick Pittman.
 
She will be missed by family and friends. The Earth has lost one of the sweetest persons we will ever know.
