WEDNESDAY RITES FOR MRS. COOK
Joyce Fern Cook, 75, life-long resident of the Orlando and Perry communities, died at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 1995, at her home at 1217 North Eighth street in Perry.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Orlando United
Methodist church. Rev. Ed Stanley, a former pastor of the church, and Richard Barker, son-in-law of Mrs. Cook, will officiate. Burial will be in Lawnview cemetery.
The casket will not be opened at the service. Family and friends may call at Brown Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established to benefit the Orlando United Methodist Church or the Judith Karman Hospice of Stillwater.
The daughter of Henry Albert and Fern Hope (Johnson) Henn, Mrs. Cook was born Jan. 24, 1920, at Orlando. She and Charles Jefferson "Pete" Cook were married at Kingfisher on Nov. 30, 1940. Mrs. Cook had operated a ceramics shop. She was a member of the Orlando United Methodist Church.
Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1984. Mrs. Cook also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Among survivors are one son, Charles H. Cook, Kellyville; one daughter, Irma Joyce Barker, Perry; four granddaughters, Tami R. Barker DeVilbiss, Perry, Angela L. Barker Warfield, Dallas, TX, and Sheila Cook McGuire, Kellyville; one grandson, R. Lynn Barker, Orlando; five great-grandchildren, Matt Devilbiss, Leslie DeVilbiss, Jaylyn Barker, Kristin McGuire and Broc
McGuire; and two step-great-grandchildren, Jason DeVilbiss and Jessica DeVilbiss.
