Melinda Gail “Moe” Taylor of Perry, Oklahoma was born January 20, 1955 in Oklahoma City. At age 56, she passed away, August 4, 2011 at the OU Medical Center Presbyterian Tower in Oklahoma City.
     
Melinda was united to marriage to Gary Taylor in the 1986 in Gainesville, Texas. Her interests included cooking and baking, especially pies. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, fishing, boating and camping.
     
Survivors include a daughter, Christie Hamby of Perry, OK and a son, Pete Manek of Perry, OK; a step son, Jeremy Taylor, Oklahoma City, two step daughters, Casandra Taylor of Oklahoma City and Jennifer Taylor of Moore, OK; three sisters, Vicki Beemer, Jackie Miller and Cynthia Smith all of Mustang, OK; grandchildren, Justin Hamby, Meagan Hamby, and Tyler Manek; step-grandchildren, McKenzie Ingle, Deandra Ingle, Austin Ingle, Christopher Taylor, Deanna Taylor, Jarek Butler, and Desiree Butler.
     
Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Eugene and Marie Josephine (Beck)Rogers; her husband, Gary Taylor; one brother, Jessie Rogers and one sister Toni Cole.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 8, 2011 from 3-8 p.m. with the family being present from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Perry Assembly of God Church with the Reverend Lonnie Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow at the Grace Hill Cemetery Pavilion.
