A graveside service for Mary Ruth Swart, 91, of Perry, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry. The Rev. Shane Rackley will officiate. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry. Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born March 14, 1915, in Manhattan, Kan., to Theodore and Kate Nelson Gross and died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at Cimarron Nursing Home, Kingfisher.

She was a 1932 graduate of Guthrie High School.

She married Theodore “Ted” Swart May 20, 1932. They made their home in Perry. He died in 1988.

She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church. She also was a charter member of Perry Brush and Palette Club, a member and past president of Marigold Garden Club, member and past president of Ladies Golf Association of Perry Golf and Country Club, and a member and past matron of Order of Eastern Star, serving as matron in 1942.

Surviving are one son, Robert of Kingfisher; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, Ted, she was preceded in death by one daughter, a son, one brother, and three sisters. Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077 to The Gideons International.
