Wayne Swan Sr. 85 of Perry passed away at his home on Monday, July 6, 2020 surrounded by his family.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday July 17, 2020 at Grace Hill Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted in the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry. Pallberers will be Anthony Bourland, Stephen Swan, Fred Bourland, Adrian Swan, Virgil Swan and Aundray Swan. Rev. Magnus Scott will officiate the service.

Wayne was born October 1, 1934 in Sumner, Oklahoma to Jesse and Mae (Knight) Swan, and grew up in the Perry area. On January 15, 1955 he married Opal Ruth Vester. They celebrated 65 years of marriage this year. Wayne enjoyed playing pool, dominos, cards and he loved listening to the blues. He worked for the city of Perry for a number of years before going to Ditch Witch where he retired.

He is survived by his wife Opal Ruth Swan of the home; Children, James Knight of Detroit, Mi, Harvey Swan of Perry, Oklahoma, Jacquelyn Moses of Cedar Hill, Texas, Virgil Swan and wife Kim of Perry, Oklahoma, Wayne Swan Jr. and wife Marva of Wichita Kansas, Gary Swan and wife Yvonne of Owasso, Oklahoma, Allyson Williams and husband Gavin of Wichita, Kansas, Delbert Swan of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Curtis Swan of Wichita, Kansas, Karla Swan Stillwater, Oklahoma, Kendall Swan of Granite, Oklahoma. Siblings Betty Copeland of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lawrence Swan and wife of Corinth, Texas, Cozy Swan and wife Faye of Los Angeles, California, Sonya McPherson and husband Paul of Perry, Oklahoma, Phyllis Atkinson of Perry, Oklahoma, Jimmy Atkinson of Perry, Oklahoma. Twenty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marilyn Bourland; two brothers, and one sister.
