Lesley Andrew Pope of Nicoma Park, OK went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in Midwest City at the age of 86.

He was born April 10, 1929 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He was the middle child and only son born to Zerl Dewey Pope and Vera Lee (Balard) Pope. Lesley grew up in the Davis and Purcell areas. At the age of 16, he started working as an apprentice for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union 344 in OKC. He remained working as a licensed Plumber until his retirement and received his lifetime membership with over 70 years as a member of the Union. Lesley married the love of his life, Doris Mae Krisher on March 26, 1949 in Midwest City, OK. They made their home in Nicoma Park most all of their life and together raised two sons, Charley and Larry. After becoming a Christian, Lesley dedicated his life to preaching the gospel. He became a licensed ordained minister in 1970 and pastored the Fellowship Church of God in MWC for over 20 years. Lesley lived on a small acreage where he enjoyed raising cattle, chickens and Rabbits. He enjoyed shooting sports and was competitive in quick draw competitions. In recent years he became an avid OKC Thunder fan. Most of all Lesley loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Dewey and Vera Pope; Wife, Doris Pope on Jan. 18, 2013; Sister, Ada Mae Teffertiller; Niece, Donna Mae Cramer;

He is survived by: Two sons, Charley Pope of Noble, Larry Pope and wife Patricia of MWC; One sister, Doris Marie Short and husband Virgil of OKC; One brother-in-law, Bill Krisher of Dallas; Four grandchildren, Shelly Milligott and husband John of Friendswood, TX, Cameron Pope of OKC, Brian Pope and wife Cindy Blackmon of OKC, Melissa Decker and husband Spence of Edmond; Six great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, Two great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel, Purcell, Oklahoma.

Interment will be a Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, OK. Send online condolences to the family @wilsonlittle.com
