Rosie was the daughter of Florn and Stella Burshik. She was born in Hennessey Oklahoma on April 21, 1931. She attended school in Crescent, OK. She lived and worked in Perry OK most of her life as a dishwasher, waitress, taxi driver, and for 19 years as a cook at Sooners Corner
Restaurant.

Rosie had a special heart for the “underdog” and less-privileged individuals. She was a tender soul who didn’t want to hurt feelings and wouldn’t harm a fly. She had a special love for animals of all kinds. Her favorite past-times were watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and she also enjoyed watching her favorite football teams. She had a special love and bond with her son-in-law, Joe who took her to her hair appointments every Wednesday morning for five years up to her passing. After retiring for the night, Rosie could often be heard talking to her friend Jesus and asking Him to watch over her and her family through the night. Rosie was baptized in the Methodist Church as a young teenager.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bud) Perkins Jr., mother Stella Burshik, father Florn Burshik, two brothers Charlie Burshik and Jim (Tex) Burshik, two sisters, Christine Shields and Mary Cooper, and a son – Jimmie L. Adams.

She is survived by her son Robert Hedrick and his wife Kathleen of Perry OK, daughter; Lavonna Luna and her husband Jose (Joe) of Midland TX, with whom Rosie lived for six years. Other survivors include numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a special daughter-in-law Linda Hempfling of Enid, and good friend Barbara Schweer.

Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.perrycares.com.
