Libbie Gean Chenoweth Norton, 93, of Perry, Oklahoma, formerly of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Clark Braden Chenoweth and Anna Elizabeth (Christensen) Chenoweth.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 form 9:00 A.M. to 8:00PM.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Dighton Marler Funeral Home chapel in Perry.

She was born August 16, 1924, in rural Noble County, Oklahoma, and died March 31, 2019, in Perry, Ok.
She was baptized in the Lutheran Church, Perry, Ok. on April 10, 1943. Her life centered around her husband, Hope Norton. They met at a dance in Enid, Oklahoma, where he was stationed in the U.S. Army Air Force. They married on November 7, 1943, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Libbie's life centered around her husband, Hope. They built their own little house in Sapulpa, and lived there over 50 years, until Hope's death in 2008.
Libbie was an artist, gardner, avid geneologist, a world traveler in search of her family history. She was a rock collector. While she and Hope didn't have children of their own, she adopted all her nieces and nephews as her own. She and Hope were members of the Sapulpa Square dance club and the Sapulpa Historical Society.

Libbie is survived by her brother, Bill Chenoweth and Mary Goodwin, both of Perry.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Star Chenoweth, Luella Ewy Gregg, Edd Chenoweth, Dorothy Ewy, Vira Horton, Clark (Click) Chenoweth, and Gladys Meier.

Nieces and nephews include: Jim Ewy, Janet Mack, VIcky J. Beier, Melvin Ewy, Dan Ewy, Shirley Estrada, Sally Hopkins, Wiley Goodwin, Scott Chenoweth, Ila Rupp, Gayle Mettok, Norleta Montgomery, Marlee Montgomery, Marlee Mitchell, LaResa Jackson, Nancy Smith, Donna Beekman, Eddie Chenoweth, Danny Meiers, Jill Meiers, Tim Chenoweth, Terry Chenoweth, Betty Simmons, Manley Chenoweth, and host of great nieces and nephews
