DIGHTON MARLER FUNERAL HOME
PERRY, NOBLE CO, OK
(permission granted)

Thomas Jay Myers, 23, Stillwater, was born November 17, 1995, the last baby born at Perry Memorial Hospital and after they had discontinued delivering babies.

He came into this world with the whole nursing staff scrambling to find the right equipment necessary for him to be delivered. He was taken from his family and friends much too soon on Monday, October 28, 2019, as a result of a traffic accident, just north of Stillwater.

Thomas is the son of Twana G. Brown, Perry, and Jeffrey J. Myers Jr., Enid. He earned his GED and was employed as a delivery driver for Spectrum Paints in Stillwater, often bringing paint to businesses to his hometown of Perry, and other towns in the Stillwater area. Thomas enjoyed fishing, skateboarding, music, kayaking, good food and hanging out with friends and family. In his family, Thomas was the peacemaker. He didn’t like conflict and when he stepped in, the conflict stopped immediately. His family loved his smile and contagious laugh. In addition to his family, he enjoyed the large family of his sweetheart of several years, Kassadi Rains...especially their annual trip to float down the Illinois River.

His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 at Dighton Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater.

He will be buried at Grace Hill Memorial Cemetery in Perry with a brief service at approximately 12 noon, under the direction of Dighton Marler Funeral Home. Pastor Lonnie Rutherford will officiate.

He is survived by his mother, Twana G. Brown, Perry; his father, Thomas J. Myers Jr., and his wife Amanda of Enid; his sweetheart, Kassidi Rains, Stillwater; grandmother, Gloria G. Brown, Perry; and his siblings: Terry (JR) Miner, Trevor Mon, Jeffrey Myers III, all of Perry; Talia Heath Robinson, and her husband Hailey, perkins; Skylar Aguero and Cynthia (Leigh Leigh) Oliver, Stillwater; and Caitlin Conn, North Carolina; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Jesse (Jay) Brown and Jeffrey J. Myers Sr.

Pallbearers will be Terry (JR) Miner Jr., Trevor Mon, Kage Rains, Hailey Robinson, Dean Tompkins, Dylan Myers, and Tracy Cross. Honorary pallbearers are Talia Robinson, Skylar Aguero, Jeffery Myers III, Ryan Miner, Taylor Jay Heath, Kassidi Rains, Kyle Rains, Dayton Rickman and Aaron Myers..
