Roscoe Nyle Myers, age 84, of Woodward, OK formerly of Perry, OK was born on September 20, 1926 to Arlie Lee and Florence Pearl (Blossom) Myers in Ripley, OK and passed from this life on November 29th, 2010 in Woodward, Oklahoma.

After graduating from Stillwater High School, he served as an airplane mechanic in the Army Air Corps in Okinawa. Upon his return he attended Oklahoma State University. During high school he had a route delivering ice to homes in Stillwater. While attending college he managed the movie theaters in Stillwater. After college he managed National Supply Company in Perry and Seminole. He and his wife successfully owned and operated several small businesses. Before retiring he worked for Champion Chemicals, National Lead and Exxon in Snyder, TX and Woodward, OK. He loved metal detecting, fishing, working with his hands, and spending time with his family. His oil and acrylic paintings have been shown in various galleries in Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Roscoe Nyle Myers are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday December 3, 2010 at the Church of Christ with Gerald Stewart officiating. Interment will be at the Grace Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday December 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

He is survived by:
Son, Larry Myers and wife Nancy of Snyder, TX. Daughters, Terri Kalfas and husband George of Broken Arrow, OK, Sherri Dunagan and husband Earl of Glencoe, OK, Angela Barnett and husband Kent of Woodward, OK. Brother, Max Myers and wife Virginia of Springdale, AR. Sisters-in-Law, Betty Gunn and Mercedes Matthews of Perry, OK, Deanne Harms of Liverpool, NY, and Margaret Matthews of New Orleans, LA. Brother-in-law, Max Edgar of Whitney, TX. 9 grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, and Gabriel Kalfas, Cynthia Dunagan Cude; Noah and Benjamin Dunagan, Amber Myers Hope, Alyssa and Kory Barnett. 4 great-grandchildren, Kourtnee and Sean Cude, Maddie Hope, Sophia Kalfas

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sue Myers, granddaughter Misty Myers, brother Leo Myers, and sister Dixie Lee Mills.
