Linda Lee Kukuk, 16 year old beauty queen from Perry high school ended a five month fight for life on Wednesday, January 26, 1955 shortly after midnight in Stillwater Memorial Hospital. The pretty popular junior class student at Perry High School was the victim of an incurable disease and had been in the hospital the past several weeks.
Services will be Friday at 2 pm in Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Charles Kotueakut pastor officiating at last rights. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of Parker Funeral Home.
Members of Unit lll, Lutheran Women's Missionary League will sit in a group for final service on Friday.
Linda was born October 5 1938 in Perry to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kukuk. She was elected basketball queen at Perry High School last year. She was also an honor student and a cheerleader in the school pep club. She was a member of the Maroon Band this year.
At Christ Lutheran church she took an active part in the Walther League, youth organization and served as a Sunday School teacher.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister, Francis, of the home at 1106 Sixth Street; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Roads Perry. Mrs. Kukuk is the former Vera Shelton.
