Lon Hedges, lifelong resident of Perry, OK passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He was 102. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Perry.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10AM Monday, April 17, 2017 at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry. Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Perry.

Dad was the best Dad and Granpa “ever”. He was full of “life” and “ love”. He loved people, animals, nature, wildlife, hunting, fishing, fun and teasing. He was kind and caring to friends and neighbors. He was always ready to offer help and “wisdom” when he could.

Annalee the love of his life, shared quite an adventure for 70 years.

Dad was always young at heart.

One son, Thomas Stephen Hedges of Tonkawa, OK; one daughter, Janis Harris and husband David of Shidler, OK; Three Granddaughters, Jamee Coleen Mortenson and husband Dale of Montana, Lea Ann Theurer and husband Matt of South Haven, KS, and Jo Lynn Becton and husband Travis of Overland Park, KS; one Great-Grandson, and seven Great-Granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife Annalee in 2010; one son, James Richard Hedges; two sisters, Iola Wyatt, and Lorene Gutowski.
