DIGHTON MARLER FUNERAL HOME
PERRY, NOBLE CO, OK
(permission granted)

Tim Guffey, 50, of Perry, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry.

Tim was born September 18, 1969 in Winamac, Indiana to Vernon and Ethel (Chase) Guffey. He grew up in Perry and graduated Perry High School in 1987. With the health challenges he faced he felt a calling to pursue a career in the medical field. He obtained his Associates Degree from Rose State College and worked as a Respiratory Therapist for many years until he had to retire due to his health. Tim enjoyed a good cold beer, riding horses and doing a little roping. His son, Tayte was the love of his life. He never missed any ballgames, birthday parties, or any other functions that Tayte or his nieces and nephews would have. He was always their biggest supporter. Tim genuinely loved people. He never met a stranger! If you went somewhere with Tim, he was bound to find someone to talk to, and you may be there a while.

Those left to Cherish his memories are his children, Tayte Duane Guffey and Lily Sue Guffey both of Perry, Ok; two sisters, Debbie Terrel and husband Richard, and Tammy Guffey both of Perry, Ok; nieces/nephews, Toni Egerer (Clifton), Teri Guffey, Traci Guffey, Dana Wilson, Edward Terrel, and Stephanie Durand (Paul); other great nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends; also two close friends & Cousins, Rusty Guffey and Jimmy Graham.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister; and niece, Casey Wilson.

Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Perry.

Graveside services will be 11AM Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry with Pastor Steve Smith officiating.
