Douglas Manuel "Doug" Graham

Douglas “Doug” Graham, 87, of Perry passed from this life on October 12, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home of Perry and will be held at 11:00am Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 2pm to 8pm.

Doug was born in Perry on November 1, 1927 to Minnie May Graham. On October 13, 1947 a justice of peace married Doug to Edith “Babe” Chase. They were married for 64 loving years before Babe passed away on October 12, 2012.

In 1955 Doug and Babe moved their family to Perryton, TX. They returned to Perry in 1974. Doug was a hard worker, working from sun up to sun down to support and take care of his family. He was a loving family man. He worked as a diesel mechanic and rig operator in the oil field. In 1985, Doug retired due to an injury but continued to work running cattle. Doug was known as a generous man who would do anything for anyone.

He is survived by his sons: Rick Graham of Alva, OK; David Graham and his wife Donna of Enid, OK; Jim Graham of Perry, OK; a sister Agnus Sylvia Daugherty, Arkansas; Six grandchildren: Jason Graham and wife Rebecca of Manitou Springs, CO; Jennifer Holmes and husband Gary of Tulsa, OK; Teresa Cummings and husband Billy of Alva, OK; Neil Graham of Alva, OK; Raven Graham of Eugene, OR; Shane Graham of Perry, OK; seven great-grandchildren: Tatum, Jackson, Bree, Katelyn, Payton, Kade, and Caleb; and nephews and nieces, Eddie Glenn, Tony, Allan, Velva (Snookie), Gina, Debbie, Tammy and Timmy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife Edith “Babe” Graham who died exactly three years to the day before him and one day before their 65th anniversary, brothers-William Graham, Carl Graham, Wilson Graham, Oscar Graham, James Graham, Frank Graham and George Graham and sisters-Helen Underwood and Opal Kopp.

The family requests that donations be made to Companion Hospice in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 203 Fir Ave., Perry, OK 73077.
