Ford Funeral Service
(permission granted)

Susan C. Rennick, 71, of Midwest City, passed away at home on  Wednesday February 7, 2018 in the care of her children.

Sue was born 22 November 1946 in Fayetteville AR, the daughter of Arthur and Lavina May Andrews of Stillwater Oklahoma.

Sue is survived by her husband of 31 years, Donald C. Rennick; Two children: daughter Becky and John McKenna of Choctaw OK, son Bradley Shaw of Midwest City OK; 4 grandchildren: Madison and Mike Senn of Oklahoma City OK, Taylor and Jimmie Miles of Oklahoma City OK, Jordan Shaw of Las Vegas NV, and Cameron Shutt of Midwest City OK; one Great Grandchild, Ms. Marley Senn; and one brother, Frank and Darlene Andrews of Stillwater OK.

Having lost both her Mom and Dad at a young age, Sue loved having family close by and was always ready to have a large family dinner where everyone enjoyed her famous pot roast. Sue’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her Grandchildren whom she would keep during the summer, taking them on the open road sharing her love of traveling with them. Her adventures took her Coast-to-Coast from Los Angeles to New York City; from Torrington WY to Washington DC and many places in between. Sue’s International travels took her to Paris, Rome, and Amsterdam just to name a few of her favorite places. Whenever she visited her Son in Las Vegas, she could nurse a few spare dollars into hours of people watching while she played the penny slots. As an avid movie fan, Sue would watch just about any movie ever made and believed no movie was so bad that it could not be watched more than once; especially if it was a scary movie or murder mystery. When she was not traveling or enjoying a movie, you could count on Sue to be at Ross or Marshalls shopping with her husband Don in tow; just in case she needed someone to go buy her a Coke. Having grown up with modest means, she was an expert bargain hunter who felt that finding a special birthday or Christmas gift for a loved one was the greatest deal of all. Sue was always ready with a good story and her granddaughters remembered her as the funniest lady they knew. And while she was never a mean person, she was happy to be “Mean Lady” for her grandson.

While Sue’s family is sad that she is no longer with them, they take great comfort knowing Susan has been reunited with her Maker and has returned to the loving embrace of her Mother Lavina May, Father Arthur, and Brothers: Roger, Norman, and Duaine.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm
at Ford Funeral Home.

A private interment will follow later at the family cemetery in Perry OK.
