Lois Marie (Duncan) Moore age 64 of Perry, passed away on Sunday December 3, 2006 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Lois was born on May 7, 1942 in rural Noble County to James Alva and Marie Duncan. She attended Lane Elementary School and graduated from Perry High School in 1960. She went to work for the Perry Daily Journal in Sept. 1960. She had also worked part time for the movie theaters. Lois married Thomas R. Moore on July 6, 1961. Lois loved to read, do cross word puzzles and make popcorn balls for family and friends. She enjoyed her grandchildren. She was also a collector of novelty pencil sharpeners (over 300).

Lois is survived by her husband Thomas R. Moore of the home, two sons Thomas R. Moore II and wife Sherri of Edmond, Chet A. Moore and wife Deanne of Perry, granddaughter Cassie Moore of Harrisburg, Virginia, grandsons Clint Moore of Perry, Branden and Jacksen Moore of Edmond. Step-sons Tim Moore and wife Gayle of Hedgesville, W. Virginia, Jim Moore of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, step-grandchildren Lindy Morris and husband Mark of W. Virginia, Chris Moore and wife Beth of W. Virginia, Sean and Ryan Moore of W. Virginia, step-great grandchildren Seth and Layla Morris of W. Virginia She is also survived by her sisters Shirley Moody and husband Roger of Midwest City, OK. and Hulda Henry of Perry.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, Perry. Brother Aaron Summers will officiate.

Interment will follow at the Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry. Arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, Perry, Oklahoma.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Thomas Ray Moore (Tom) age 83 of Perry, unexpectedly passed away at home on Monday June 21, 2021.

Tom was born February 4, 1938 in Perry, OK to Chester Arthur (Chet) and Velma Elaine (Evans) Moore. Tom attended Perry High School where he served as class president 1951-52, class vice president in 1952-53, and to date is the only person who served four years as drum major of the Perry High School Band. He graduated from Perry High School in 1956 and never lost his love for music. Tom married Lois Marie (Duncan) Moore on July 6, 1961. They shared 45 years together before her death in 2006. Tom worked for the City of Perry and Perry Police Department as a police officer before joining the Perry Fire Department in 1967 where he held positions of fireman, Lieutenant, and Assistant Fire Chief before being appointed as Fire Chief in 1981 until his retirement. He also spent time working for Cooper Motor Company for his high school classmate Richard Dunford, Billingsley Electric, and Charles Machine Works, Inc. For the last 30 plus years, Tom and his friends met for coffee daily at Kumback Café. Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially looked forward to his yearly pheasant hunting trips to Holcomb, KS with family; a tradition that has carried on with his sons and grandsons. Tom loved spending time with family where he shared his clever wit and contagious laughter. He also enjoyed playing board games, watching old movies, and listening to music.

Tom is survived by three sons; Timothy Ray Moore (Tim) and his wife Gail of Hedgesville, West Virginia, Thomas Ray Moore II (Tommy) and his wife Sherri of Edmond, and Chester Arthur Moore (Chet) and his wife Deanne of Perry. Grandchildren and (great grandchildren); Lindy Morris and husband Mark (Seth, Layla, Abigail), Chris Moore and wife Beth (Henry, Grant), Sean Moore and wife Danielle (Shae, Josie, Hayes), and Ryan Moore and wife Stephanie all of West Virginia, Branden Moore and wife Ashley, and Jacksen Moore all of Edmond, Cassie Moorhead and husband Wayne (Rhett, Lincoln, Ripken) of Vinita, and Clint Moore and wife Shelby (Zora, Stella) of Perry. Extended family; George Rapp and wife Sherry, and William Rapp all of Holcomb, KS.

Tom was proceeded in death by his parents, wife, son James Arthur Moore (Jim), brother Jack, sisters Betty and Deanna.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, Perry with Minister Troy Woolery officiating.

Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry. Arrangements are entrusted to Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Perry, OK.
