Charles J. Holick after bravely enduring a 16 year battle with Alzheimer's Dementia, our beloved father, husband and grandfather, has found peace and freedom with our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven on February 21, 2016. He was 88 years of age.

Charles J. Holick was born March 12, 1927 in Mesquite, TX to Herman E. and Emilie B. Majkus Holick. His father passed away while Charles was a young child so he was raised by his Step Father Joe Hejtmanek.

He came to Marland, OK with his siblings and attended grade school at IXL in the Three Sands area then graduating from Marland High in 1945. Charles served a tour of Duty in the U.S. Navy upon his discharge married his high school sweetheart, Peggy A. Cassity in Tulsa, OK. They made their home in the Ponca City, OK area.

He worked for Conoco in the Geophysics Department for a period of time. Charles attended O.S.U. and received his bachelor degree. He was an electrician by trade and he installed new service and also did repair in residential homes and commercial businesses. He truly was a ''jack of all trades''. During his spare time he enjoyed gardening, restoring houses and playing his accordion for various polka bands in the area. He was a member of the Oklahoma Polka Club. He dearly loved and enjoyed his family and grandchildren. To everyone that knew him he was a joy to be around.

Survivors include; his wife: Peggy of the Home; 4 children: Ed Holick and wife Teresa of Ponca City, OK, Clark Holick of Marland, OK ,Karen Holick of Ponca City and Cindy Free and husband Wade of Sharon, OK. 1 brother:, George Hejtmanek of Broken Arrow, OK Grandchildren: Christy and Mark Steelmon of Houston, TX, Joe Holick of Ponca City, OK, Kelsie Adkins of Tonkawa, OK, Kenlee and Gary Thrash of Mooreland, OK, Weston Free and Cooper Free, both of Sharon, OK; great grandchildren; Conner, Landon, Noah and Tyler Holick, Addison and Carson Steelmon and Texi Thrash as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Step father Joe Hejtmanek, 3 sisters, Anne Murray, Vera Watchous, Lil Otto; 2 brothers, Edward Hejtmanek and Joe Hejtmanek and 1 grandson Keaton Free.

Private Services were held on February 25, 2016 at the Bohemian Cemetery at Perry, OK with the Rev Steven M. Mallory officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
