Laverta May Ketts, 85, Billings, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the United Methodist Health Care Center at The Commons in Enid. 

She was a lifelong resident of Billings, born in Covington to Ted and Clara (Hiatt) Kriethe. She was married to Danny D. Ketts in Covington on September 29, 1950. To their union were born three children, Regina, Mitchell, and Matt. For many years, Laverta was the owner-operator of the Oasis Drive Inn in Billings, where many high school and community people would gather.  Later she worked as a nursing aide, retiring from the Fairchild Center in Billings. She and her husband Danny enjoyed playing cards, in particular Pitch at the Old School House near Garber. Laverta also enjoyed bingo, word puzzles and traveling in their travel trailer. 

She is survived by loving family, husband, Danny; children, Regina Ketts of Edmond, and Matt Ketts and spouse, Deborah of Enid. One grandchild, Bo Ketts and spouse, Cherie. Two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Ketts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Mitchell, four brothers, and two sisters.

The service for Mrs. Ketts is 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, in the Billings Christian Church, with burial to follow at Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dugger Funeral Home in Billings 1-8 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017.

For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Billings Christian Church, in the care of Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N 7th Street, Perry, OK.
