David Luther Owens
Submitted by: Carole Spencer

David Luther OWENS was born at Eads, Colorado, February 10, 1914, and departed this life at the family home in Billings, Oklahoma at 2:30 o'clock Friday morning, January 21, 1921, at the age of 6 years 11 months and 11 days. He came with his parents to Billings in August 1917, where they have since resided. This fall he entered school, where his standing was excellent.
David became ill January 1st, and a few days later his trouble was pronounced diphtheria. The best care and attention proved to be of no avail and the end came quite peacefully.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at 2:30, January 22nd by Dr. R. G. Sears, pastor of the Christian church of which David was an attendant. Interment was made in Union Cemetery.
By his sunny disposition and way of overcoming difficulties in such good humor he made many friends among the older men who regarded him as one of their pals.
The grief stricken parents (Charles and Irene Owens) and other relatives have the deepest sympathy of a host of friends and acquaintances in their great sorrow.
