Funeral services for John Everett Rollins, 95, of San Antonio, TX will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2008 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Mills officiating. John was born June 8,1913 in Webbers Falls, OK the son of Joseph E. Rollins and Ruth Ann (Sykes) Rollins and died October 28, 2008 in Muskogee. He married Ora Lee Schwartz in 1992. John entered the Army/Air Corp in February 1938 and served with distinction, as head Chef of his unit. Master Sgt. Rollins came home from Japan in 1945, at the end of WWII, and retired from the Air Force in 1958. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruth Rollins of Muskogee, OK and sisters, Barbara Nan Pitts, Jiggs Ellis of Warner and Gypsy Rose Rollins of Webbers Falls, OK. Survivors include wife, Ora Lee Delavan of the home; step-son, Ron Delavan of Tampa, FL, one sister Melba Jo Wells of Muskogee, OK; nieces, Sandra Cunningham, Billye Pendley, Vicky Bailey, Tina Ball, Melissa Wells, Kim Findley, Ramona Ellis, Nancy Alforff; and nephews Bill Ellis, Ronnie Ellis and David Pitts. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #15 Honor Guard.
