Services: Tues., May 10, 1:00 p.m.

Graveside services for Opal Bennett will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.

Opal Bennett was born April 24, 1923, on a farm outside of Porum, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life Les Bennett in 1943. A short time later the two newlyweds began an adventure out to California. She along with Les owned and operated Less Bennett Drilling Company until his untimely death in 1984. She was a farm girl at heart enjoying animals, gardening, childhood stories of home, a good joke, and two-stepping to a country song. Along with this, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-great-grandmother, an avid reader, a lighting strike survivor, and an aspiring yodeler. She is fondly remembered by those that loved her dearly as one of a kind.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Les; sisters, Gladys, Alice and nephew, Jimmy Carrol. She has left behind her brother, Hubert Dowdy; sister, Dorothy Dowdy; three children, Phyllis Addis, Steve Bennett, Dianna Ingle; ex daughter-in-law, Sallie Bennett, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2005, at Hillcrest Memorial Park from 4:00 8:00 p.m.
