Hazel Garner Harper, 93, went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2008. Hazel was born on June 20, 1915. She was a devout Christian and Prayer Warrior, not just in spirit but in action. She was very loving, never judged and loved everyone. She was the best mother, most loving grandmother, great grandmother and the greatest woman we have ever known. Hazel loved her church, education and working for the Highland Park Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas, but, most of all she loved all of her family dearly and spent most of her like taking care of them. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Ray Koehler Harper and parents, Felix and Millie Garner. Hazel is survived by her sons Donald Ray Harper; grandchildren, Christopher Ray Harper, Stacy Harper King and John Adrian Harper; great-grandchildren, Christopher Luke Harper and Arabella Grace King. She will be greatly missed by all of those that loved and knew her.An open visitation will be held on Thursday October 16, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. and services will be held Friday October 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Greenhill Cemetery with Reverend Marion Graves officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
