Howard Corwin Kinser

April 3, 1918 ~ January 8, 2006

Howard Corwin Kinser, 87, died Sunday, January 8, 2006 at his home in Muskogee. He was born April 3, 1918 in Morris, Oklahoma to John and Mary (Romain) Kinser. Howard and Marie married August 18, 1942 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired in 1968 from working in the oil fields in Odessa, Texas. Then he worked out of a shop at his home repairing boat motors. Howard was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed boating and fishing.

Howard is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Marie Kinser, of the home; three sons, James Kinser of Muskogee, Howard Kinser of Flowery Branch, Georgia and John Kinser of Austin, Texas; ten grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Christian Chapel Church with Pastor Conrad Barrett officiating. Interment will be in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.

Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
