Funeral services for Oliver Frank Chambers, 93, of Warner, OK, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011, at the New Hope Assembly of God Church in Muskogee with Reverend John Overton officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery at Porum, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls.

Mr. Chambers was born October 21, 1917, in Porum, OK, the son of Bill and Josie (Ross) Chambers and died Monday, August 1, 2011 in Muskogee. He married Lela Evelyn McDaniels, November 30, 1935 in Muskogee.

He was a cattle rancher and was a lifelong resident of the Warner area.

Mr. Chambers was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Josie Chambers, his wife, Lela Evelyn Chambers, son, Billy Joe Chambers, a granddaughter, Jolene Nichols, daughter-in-law, Sheila Chambers and a great-granddaughter, Brandi Buttery. Mr. Chambers was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Josie Chambers, his wife, Lela Evelyn Chambers, son, Billy Joe Chambers, a granddaughter, Jolene Nichols, daughter-in-law, Sheila Chambers and a great-granddaughter, Brandi Buttery.

Survivors include his children, Barbara Ann and William J. Durick of Grand Lake, Jack Chambers of McClain, Oliver Jr. and Charlene Chambers of Muskogee, Jimmy and Toni Chambers of Muskogee, Johnnie Chambers of Muskogee, Lonnie Chambers of Muskogee, sister, Willie and husband, Marvin Miller of Muskogee, 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great

Lela Evelyn (McDaniels) Chambers

Funeral services for Lela Evelyn Chambers, 91, of Warner, OK will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in the First Assembly of God Church in Warner with Reverend Clarence Guthrie officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery in Porum under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls.

Mrs. Chambers was born April 7, 1917 at Warner, the daughter of Thomas and Antonia (Smith) McDaniels and died Saturday June 28, 2008 at Warner.

Mrs. Chambers was a lifelong resident of the Warner area. She attended Pope Chapel School and had been a member of Pope Chapel Pentecostal Church.

She married Oliver Frank Chambers Sr., November 30, 1935 in Muskogee.

She was preceded in death by a son Billy Joe Chambers, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Oliver Chambers of the home, her children; Barbara Ann Durick and husband William J. of Grand Lake, Jack Chambers of McLain, Oliver Jr. and Charlene of Muskogee, Jim and Nannette Chambers of Muskogee, Johnnie and Sheila Chambers of Muskogee and Lonnie Chambers of Muskogee, 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
