May 5, 1927 ~ May 15, 2008

Pauline Katherine Ellis, 81, of Fort Gibson, slipped away from this life to meet her Lord on Thursday, May 15, 2008.

She was born on May 5, 1927 in Woodall, Oklahoma to Jasper and Mary Jane (Butler) Farrow. Pauline lived her life in this area. She raised her seven children with God’s guidance and with the help of her parents.

She worked hard all of her life, and in the earlier years, walked several miles every day to work. She was a happy person with a beautiful smile, and instilled in her children and grandchildren, the value of hard work and loving and caring for their families. Pauline never forgot to hug and say, “I love you.”

Pauline is survived by her children, Rosemary Cessnum and her husband Gene of Jal, NM, Hazel Landrum of Tulsa, Eddie Landrum and his wife Angie of Pittsburg, TX, Rick Landrum and his wife Jan of Braggs, Hugh Ellis, Jr. of Fort Gibson, Ken R. Ellis of Chelsea; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, James Farrow of Cushing; six sisters, Delancy Walker of Fort Gibson, Virginia Ford of Fort Gibson, Marie James of Fort Gibson, Thelma McDaniel of Tahlequah, Katheryn Taylor of Tahlequah and Linda Kaye of Fort Gibson and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, James A. Landrum.

A service celebrating the life of Pauline Ellis will be 2:00 pm, today, Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Fort Gibson Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Citizens Cemetery.
