Kenneth Wayne Stout, 68, of Muskogee, OK passed away October 16, 2008 in Muskogee. He was born in Porum, OK July 27, 1940 to Melvin and Ruth (Brown) Stout. He grew up in Porum, graduating from Porum High School and was an outstanding basketball player. He later moved to Muskogee and went to work in construction. He joined the Iron Workers Union Local and worked in the construction of many of the buildings in Muskogee and the surrounding area. Later, he joined his brother in the S and S Erector business in Joplin, MO where they were instrumental in the growth and development of Joplin as well as made many donations to numerous charities. He retired and moved back to Muskogee where he had many friends and relatives, one being a life long friend James (Frosty) Frost and wife June. He was known for his generosity to family and friends. Survivors include his mother, Ruth Stout of Grace Living Center in Muskogee; nieces, Thomacina Stoneburner of Quinton, OK, Shamey Stephens of Durant, OK, Lisa Stout of Kansas City, MO and Melanie Stout of Milwaukee, WS; nephews, Phillip Johnson of Kinta, Melvin Johnson of Quinton and John Stout of Monett, MO; special aunts, Geneva Mooney and Bobbie Shoemake of Muskogee and Virginia Galloway of McAlester, OK; an uncle, Wayne Stout of Vian, OK and many other great nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as friends who are left to morn his passing. He was preceded in death by his father Melvin Stout, a brother, Harold Stout and a sister, Phyllis Johnson.Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 20, 2008 at R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Reverend Bob Shoemake officiating. Pallbearers will be John Stout, Lillard Williamson, Chuck Bumgarner, Gary Romine, Mike Mooney and Shawn Mooney. Honorary pallbearers will be James Frost, Phillip Johnson, Melvin Johnson, Joe Dale Jones, Lewis Goad, Pete Peterson and David Dornan. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery, near Porum, under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
