Paggie (Phillips) Lane

Paggie (Phillips) Lane
February 22, 1947 ~ March 12, 2023

Paggie Lane was born February 22, 1947 in Muskogee County near Porum, the daughter of Vinnis Berre and Gladys Marie (Hall) Phillips. She passed from this life on March 12, 2023 in Muskogee at the age of 76.

She grew up in Muskogee County and received her AA degree from Connors State College. For many years she worked for Shelton's Grocery in Checotah and was also a farmer's wife. She was most proud of her job at Shelton's and she thought Richard and Stanley were her boys as well. Paggie was also a devoted Mom, Nanny and Chef who loved to cook, work in her garden and play games with her friends and family.

She loved playing cards, dominos and Pitch. She was a ruthless opponent that would count cards or dominos and leave a string of tears in her wake. Nanny loved her grandchildren, until the great grandchildren started showing up. They were then just the deliverers of their special babies. Early last February she was blessed with her bonus daughter Tiffanie, who blessed her life and enriched her soul.

Surviving are her children Jimmy Boyd of Quinton, OK, James Boyd of Checotah, Rhonda Foreman of Checotah, Nancy Boyd and Dakota Dugan of Muskogee and Tiffanie Luna of Muskogee; grandchildren Carrie and children Jonathon and Haily, Jeannia and children Kade and Hayden, Emily and children Dashia, Leland and Baby, Cathy and children April and Annie, James Boyd, Cody Dugan, Mooch and children Creedance and Hendrix, Jeremy and children Trinity, Wrangler, Sawyer, Harvest and Lucas, Michael and children Chasity, Loretta, Troy and Rebecca, Kenny and daughter Scarlett and Josiah Luna; siblings Diane Fraley of McAlester, Debra Branum of Porum, Leon Phillips of Stigler and Candy Phillips of Tulsa and her close friend Phyllis Lane.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am Friday March 17, 2023 at Brushy Mountain Cemetery under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Viewing will be on Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm at the funeral home with the family greeting friends beginning at 5 pm.
