Graveside services for Opal Welborn will be held at 11:00 a.m., on
Thursday, May 18, at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Opal was born in Brownville, Texas on April 1, 1915. She was raised in
Sulphur Springs, Oklahoma and moved to Bakersfield around 1946.
Opal is preceded in death by her son, Darrell Welborn. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Cox and husband, Bill; grandsons, Steve Crooks and Greg Cox; granddaughters, Stacy Crooks, Debbie Kirchenman and Windy Welborn; great granddaughters, Heaven Straughter, Promise Straughter and Faith Northers; great grandson Makayle Gonsouling; niece, JoAnn Walls.
