ENID, Okla. — Memorial service for Janet Lyn Knight, 64, of Enid, is 2 p.m. today, July 18, 2013, at Garland Road Baptist Church.

Janet was born July 10, 1949, in Ponca City, Okla., to Aldene and Allen Duroy and passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, in Enid.

She was raised and educated in Tonkawa and Ponca City, graduating from Ponca City Senior High School in 1967.

She worked as a respiratory therapist at Ponca City Hospital, as well as St. Mary’s in Enid.

Janet was very active in choir and children’s ministries at various churches in Ponca City. She later joined Garland Road Baptist Church in Enid, where she directed the children’s ministry.

Preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband, Rodney, one brother and two nephews.

Surviving are Shirley Neal of Ponca City, David Duroy of San Antonio, Texas, Marilyn Melton and Elizabeth Emmons of Wichita, Kan., and Mike Duroy of Texas; children, Justin and Pam Knight of Sapulpa, Jeremy Knight of Ponca City, and Joani and John Enfield of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
