Arlyne Wilhelm

Arlyne Wilhelm was born July 26, 1926 to her parents, O.F. Wilson and Jessie Christopher Wilson at Leedey, Oklahoma. Arlyne attended school at Dill City, Oklahoma and later met and married Henry Wilhelm and to this union ten children were born. Arlyne was an excellent cook and the family always looked forward to the dishes she prepared such as fried chicken, black eyed peas, cinnamon rolls, bread pudding, chicken and rice, and fried okra.
Her children and grandchildren were very special to her. She enjoyed doing puzzles, collecting dolls, loved her beanie babies, her angel bear, and her red blanket. Following her stroke she loved to sit in her rocking chair and watch the people through her window.
She is survived by nine children; Leroy Wilhelm and wife, Mary Beth of Fort Cobb Lake, Terry Wilhelm and wife, Brenda of Clinton, OK, Ann Green and husband, Mike of Shelbyville, TN, Sue Kinder and husband, Gary of Tuttle, OK, Bill Wilhelm and wife, Gill of Scotland, Tommy Wilhelm and wife, Mary of Sentinel, OK, Ricky Wilhelm and wife, Mary Ann of Broken Arrow, OK, Larry Wilhelm and wife, Dana of Bryan, AR, and Jane Cosgrave and husband, Richard of Minco, OK. She is also survived by two sisters, Katherine and Patsy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, O.F. and Jessie Wilson, one son, H.D., and seven brothers and sisters: Floyd, Slim, Ruby, Ovid, J.R., Sonny, and Loyd.
Arlyne passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2004 at the Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Services were held Saturday, October 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sentinel with burial at the Sentinel Cemetery under the direction of Jack Loftiss Funeral Home, Sentinel, OK.
