Anna B. Smith, 86, a retired nurse, died Saturday, June 15, 2002 at a Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, at 3:30 p.m. in Greenwood Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials can be sent to First Baptist Church Building Fund, Flippin, Arkansas.
Anna B. Smith was born September 16, 1915 in Ringwood, Oklahoma. Her parents immigrated from Germany in the late 19th century. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flippin, Arkansas. She enjoyed writing and reading and helping others through prayer and listening. Anna was a Fort Worth resident 31 years before moving to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1999. Her career included ER and pediatric healthcare in the United States Civil Service (Carswell and Amarillo Air Force Bases).
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Smith, her parents, Fred and Sarah Berg, her brother, Albert Berg and six other siblings.
Survivors include: son, Timothy H. Smith of Benbrook; daughters, Elwynna Ann Adcock of Augusta, KS, Nancy Brashears of Moore, OK, and Helen Sue Adams-Smyth of Mountain Home, Arkansas; sister, Martha Pendleton of Mountain Park; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
