Opal Reinschmiedt

Opal Reinschmiedt, daughter of Floyd and Addie (Heathman) Church was born April 28, 1918 in the Forty One Community, in western Washita County. She departed this life July 16 at her home near Bessie at the age of 84 years, two months and 18 days.
Opal had lived in this area all of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her favorite past times were sewing, camping and crocheting. Along with farming and cattle ranching, she had worked in Clinton for a number of years at Levine's and then the National Brand Shoe Store.
She was united in marriage to Leon Reinschmiedt April 12, 1941 at Cordell. To this union two children were born.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Surivivors include her husband, Leon of the home; two children, Don and his wife Marsha of Clinton and Darla Curry of Oklahoma City; one brother, Vernon and wife Polly Church of Forty One; seven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 20 at 10 a.m. at the Custer Avenue Church of Christ in Clinton with Ronnie Quaid and Pat Peters officiating. Burial, under the direction of McClure Funeral Home of Cordell followed in the Union Hatchett Cemetery, northeast of Bessie.
