Rex Glyn Foust, Sr.

Rex Glyn Foust, Sr. died Friday morning in the St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, AR. He was 77 years of age. Rex was born on February 14, 1925 in Mountain View, OK to Dennis Flynn and Dorthy Ethel Sharrock Foust.
Rex attended Southwestern State College in Weatherford, receiving his Bachelors degree in Industrial Arts. He also attended the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, IL. Rex served a tour of duty in the U.S.M.C. in WWII receiving his honorable discharge in 1946. Rex co-owned and operated a plumbing shop in Baldwin, KS for a time and then moved to Cumberland, Maryland to work for Hercules Inc. Allegany Ballistics Laboratory for 37 years, retiring in 1989 as area Supervisor of Composite Structure. Rex married Deon Gollaher on November 21, 1969, and they made their home in Cumberland.
Foust was active in the Fort Ashby, West Virginia Boy Scout Troop 69 and the Frankfort Band Boosters. Rex was of the Methodist faith and he enjoyed bowling, water skiing, and woodworking.
Survivors include: wife, Deon; son, Rex G. Foust Jr., of Fayettville AR; daughters, Glynda and husband Mark Thompson of Tulsa, and Cathryn and husband Kevin Horrocks of Magna, Utah; mother, Dorthy; brother Virgil O. Foust of Rogers, AR; sisters, Lillian Haws of Rogers, AR, Norma Morris of Thayer, KS, and Nancy Martin of Altus, OK; grandchildren, Monica McNeil, Megan Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Tyson Adams; great grandson, Duwayne McNeil; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, in the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers with Rev. Love Loftis officiating. Intement followed in the Martin Cemetery in LaRue, AR. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Friends House Adult Daycare Center or Bland Chapel.
