Irene Dobbs

Irene Dobbs, daughter of Benjamen Frank Jones and Ena Georgio (Huckleberry) Jones was born June 25, 1911 at Goodwell, Oklahoma. She passed away May 26, 2002 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Irene was raised on a farm and attended Cloud Chief School. She was united in marriage with David Madison Dobbs at Cordell, Oklahoma. To this union two sons were born, Thurman and Herbert. They made their home in Cordell where Irene was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and also enjoyed her flower gardens and yard work.

Irene is survived by her two sons, Thurman Dobbs of Cordell and Herbert Dobbs of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dave Dobbs and four brothers, Carl Jones, Kermit Jones, Bennie Jones, and Herbert Jones.

Graveside services for Irene Dobbs were held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell, Oklahoma.
