Marvin Jack Cannon

Marvin Jack "Sonny" Cannon passed away July 30, 2002, in Cordell. He was born January 6,1934, in Rocky to William Owen and Rosa Lee (McKee) Cannon. He graduated from Rocky High School in 1952 and attended college at Panhandle A&M for two years. Jack was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed going on wheat harvest for many years from Oklahoma to North Dakota. He loved farming around Rocky.
Jack is survived by his sister, Patsy Ledbetter and her husband Roy of Edmond; two nieces, Gerri Stuckey of Oklahoma City and Carrie Ledbetter of Los Angeles, CA; one nephew, Mike Ledbetter and wife Kara; grandnieces, Emma and Claire of Edmond. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 2 at Rocky Salem Baptist Church. Burial followed at Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky. Memorials may be made to the Rocky Senior Citizens Center or to the American Diabetes Association.
