HAFFNER, LUCY 1913-1997
KINGFISHER - The funeral for Lucy Haffner, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Federated Church with Pastor Tom Devitt officiating. Burial will follow at the Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service. She was born August 6, 1913, in the Altona community to Harry and Georgia Belle Hamilton, and died Thursday, May 29, 1997, at her home. She graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1931 and attended Hills Business College for 2 years. She married Olin C. Kaffner on October 25, 1933, in Oklahoma City. They farmed in the Altona community until 1971 when the moved into Kingfisher. She was employed by Pioneer Telephone Company in the billing department for 12 years. She attended the Federated Church. She is survived by her husband, Olin of the home; one daughter, Donna J. Betow of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one son, Richard O. Haffner of New Braunfels, Texas; one sister, Bess Wells of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
