HENDRICKS, CARL 1930-1999
OKEENE - A memorial service for Carl Hendricks, 68, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Okeene First United Methodist Church. Travis Hopper will officiate. Arrangements are by Wilkerson Funeral Home. He was born July 9, 1930, at Homestead to Bill and Faye Hendricks and died Tuesday, February 16, 1999. He graduated from Homestead High School in 1948, then attended Oklahoma State A&M College for two years. He enlisted in the Navy and served four years. On October 7, 1952, he married Willadean Lehr at Fairview, Oklahoma. He farmed in the Homestead community for 29 years and worked for U.S. Gypsum for 23 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign War, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, and was a life member of the N.R.A. Surviving are his wife, Willadean of the home; two sons: William "Bill" Hendricks of Evanston, Wyoming, and Clayton Hendricks of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister: V'ona Ratzlaff of Fairview, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren.
