ELOTIS BRADFORD, JR.
August 27, 1945 - April 21, 2004
Visitation for Elotis Bradford, Jr. will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St.) on Friday evening April 30, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. and an hour of meditation will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening. Funeral services will be held at The Church of God Evening Light Saints (100 Oswell Street) on Saturday morning May 1, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery.
Elotis Bradford, Jr., son of Elotis and Azelean Bradford, Sr., was born August 27, 1945 in Mason, Oklahoma. He attended the local schools in Boley, Oklahoma and at an early age he moved to Bakersfield, California where he resided with his uncle and aunt, M. I. and Lucille Dillard.
On August 26, 1967, Elotis married the love of his life, Charlesetta Brown. And to this union two children were born. Elotis Marvellis and Andrea Monique. Elotis also had another son, Elotis Rainier Bradford. At the time of his death, Elotis was employed as the superintendent at Electric Motor Works in Bakersfield where he has worked for over thirty years.
Elotis was called home to our Heavenly Father on April 21, 2004. He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlesetta; his son, Elotis Marvellis and three brothers, Kaiser Bill, Clarence and Eugene Bradford. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Elotis and Azelean Bradford, Sr.; his daughter, Andrea Monique Bradford; his son, Elotis Rainier Bradford; his seven grandchildren; Shyronique Charlesetta Patterson, Jerald Marvellis Hodges, Elotis Bradford, Jr., Christopher Bradford, Brandon Bradford, Bryson Bradford and Cheyenne Bradford; his six sisters, Fannie Washington, Kathy Fields, Darlene Pouncey, Patricia Harris, Lucy Ellis and Linda Kay Dean, all of Oklahoma; his eight brothers, Cebron Bradford, Sr. of Bakersfield, California, Cleon, Wiley, Major, Nathan, Richard, James and Lorce Bradford, all of Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends.
Elotis dearly loved his family. He adored his grandchildren and they adored him. Hisa grandkids will always remember how he always looked forward to cooking breakfast for them.
