Georgia Ann Davis-Rhodes

Georgia Ann Davis-Rhodes was born on December 10, 1879 in Indian Territory (LeFlore Co., OK.) near Page OK., to Samuel Davis and Adaline Cole-Davis, and died on Thursday, March 26, 1959 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital, McCurtain Co., OK., at age 79 years, 3 months and 16 days.
She married George Washington Rhodes on April 14, 1900 at Mena, Polk Co., AR. She had been a resident of Watson for 50 years
Georgia was preceded in death both of her parents; her husband George W Rhodes, several sisters and brothers; One infant child, one step-son, Van H Rhodes, one brother in law, James Webb, one sister-in-law; Martha Rhodes-McCray, one nephew, William Webb, several other nieces and nephews.
She is survived by one son, A. C. (Buddy) Rhodes and his wife Glenna Oakley-Rhodes of Broken Bow, McCurtain Co., OK., four daughters, Hattie Rhodes-Charles and husband Abram Charles of Hobbs OK., Ollie Rhodes-Lewis and husband Herman Lewis of Broken Bow, McCurtain Co., OK., Nora Bell Rhodes-Jones and husband Pete Madison Jones of Bunch, Adair Co., OK., and Clara Rhodes-Nipper and husband Lee Nipper of Watson OK.; 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jess and Bert Davis both of Heavener, LeFlore Co., OK., neices, nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services were held at Watson Cemetery, McCurtain Co., OK., under the direction of Coffey Funeral Home.
